A New Perspective

There are many excellent musicians that have been able to accomplish their musical goals through the Note-by-Note System, the conventional method.

What concerned Cercone Music was the huge number of people who took lessons for years but were unable to play the piano.

The most often heard comment is: “I have taken lessons for years and cannot play anything.” This really haunted Donna and being an educator, she realized she needed to look at the methodology of teaching music.

Donna herself was ready to walk away from music because she could hear and feel the music inside but could not get it out. The note by note system did not make sense and was not giving her the results that she was seeking.

Having taught many subjects besides music, one day Donna realized that we were not READING music but rather SPELLING it! No wonder so many of
us had so many problems.

Therefore this piano method has been created and refined over the years to teach the READING of music rather than the SPELLING of music.
